APRIL 5 THROUGH APRIL 9, 2012

4TH nine weeks

PROGRESS REPORTS WENT HOME FRIDAY, MARCH 30, 2012 TO BE RETURNED TUESDAY, APRIL 6, 2012

7th Reading -  The students are gathering their “The Giver” books for our next novel assignment.  They students are to have chapter 1 – 3 read by Tuesday, April 6.   We will take a test on those three chapters on Tuesday. We will continue to read in our Literature books also.

3rd Physical Science – Jrs. - We have almost completed chapter 8-Magnetism and Its Uses. We will finish chapter review and go over all material for a chapter 8 test on Wednesday, April 7.

4th Computer 8 – Last week this class went through the Microsoft Access program with our kto8 program help. They did an absolute excellent job participating and working with this program. They were given instructions using Microsoft 2003 software and using Microsoft 2007 to actually do the problems in. This was my first time to be able to do anything in access. I am extremely proud of this group of students. To finish out the year we will work mostly with Microsoft Word doing MLA reports and some powerpoint.

6th – Computer 11 – This class has worked through powerpoint and taken a test. They are beginning to work on their research paper from History and English. I am reteaching MLA style reports to help them format their papers correctly.

7th – Computer 7 -  We have been working with Microsoft Powerpoint for the last couple of weeks.  This class has done a powerpoint from kto8 and are almost done with personally presenting them to the class. We are now using the eight parts of speech to make a second presentation.
